Attack at the Claudis

"It's too nice of a day to be stuck in some press conference, Lion-O." Wily Kit looked out onto Derry Harbor. It was the prefect day for sailing; a gentle breeze keep the temperature cool and there wasn't a storm cloud in sight. But she couldn't enjoy it today; she was going to stuck in a Press Conference with Lion-O, Lynx-O and dozens of reporters this after. She almost wished that see was still a kid.
Every sense she 'became of age' at Eighteen last month, she and her brother had dumped on them all of the responsibilities that the older Thundercats didn't want. Panthro was supposed to come on this but he sent her, saying it would 'build character'. Sure, she had gotten a lot of cool gifts, like a new sword that Ben-Gali had made for her. But no present was worth setting in on a press conference.
"I know Wily Kit, but we have to do this," said Lion-O. The three started walking to the Derry Town Hall where the Conference was when a loud fog horn blast sounded form the Harbor. Passing the break water was a super- ore hauler. The Smoke Stack bore the emblem of the Royal Siberana Ore Company. The 500 yard ship was sitting low in the water.
"The S.S. Claudis," Lynx-O said without turning back. His other sense were so good that he could name a ship just by hearing the sound its engine made. "That's the reason why we are here. That hauler is loaded with stone mined from the Glacier City Hydroelectric Dam. The people in Hammerfield want the stone to build buildings and what not, but the people here in Derry don't want the heavy stones coming through their town. They say it'll tear up the roads."
"And that's why we're here," Lion butted in. "We're going to form a deal that both side sides will li...."
Lion-O was cut off. A shock wave from a explosion blew the three Thundercats off there feet. They looked back and saw a tower of flames and smoke rise from the deck of the hauler.
"Sword of Omens, give me Sight Beyond Sight," Lion-O said raising the sword to his eyes. Moments later he lowered the sword. A look of anger were slowly creeping onto his face. "Terrorist are attacking the 'Claudis'. We have to do something."
"Yeah, and I think I know how we can get over there," Kit said pointing at the docks. The Thundercats ran towards the docks, looking for anything that could get them over to the 'Claudis'. After passing the Harbor's Tennis Court, they saw their ferry to the 'Claudis'. A family of white tigers was loading their jet skis into the water. After insuring the family that the would be reimbursed for any damages, the Thundercats sped towards the 'Claudis'.
The trio stopped at the base of a service latter and started their ascent to the top. Half way up, another explosion ripped throughout the ship; the shock wave almost sent Kit flying to the water 50 feet below. The trio got to the top of the latter and found themselves behind the control tower. They all readied their weapons and prepared to charge.
"On the count of three," Lion-O whispered. The 'click' of a slug thrower cause the count down to never start.
"Thundercats, eh?" The voice was female and had a certain sense of arrogance in it. "Turn around slowly and we may let you live."
"I don't think so," Lion-O said. "Cover me guys!" Lynx-O and Kit, with light shield and sword in hand, engaged the terrorists as Lion-O prepared to call the others. Lion-O thrusted the sword into the air and yelled, "Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats HO!"

High above the chaos in Derry Harbor, the Feliner made a lazy roll over the Thunderan countryside. Its passagers, Tygra and Snarf, were due in Carhall tomorrow to dedicate the new University, but Snarf wanted to make a pit stop in Tadpole Bay.
"They make the best puff pastries on Thundera, snarf, snarf," Snarf said licking his chops in anticipation.
"I know Snarf, but it'll add several hours to our time." Tygra sighed. "Alright, but just this once."
    "Oh boy, snarf, snarf!"
Tygra programmed in the new heading and the Feliner changed course. No sooner did they change course, when the Cat's Signal blasted up into the sky.
"Lion-O needs our help, Snarf," Tygra said redirecting the Feliner to Derry.
    "Snarf, snarf. Not again."

"Get them!" The leader of the terrorist, the female, had a laser pistol out and was trying to get a clear line of sight at Lion-O, but a melee had broken out. Lynx-O was dodging bullets, trying to get close enough to one of the thugs, a big burly fellow. Lion-O was try to keep from being dog piled by a half a dozen of the terrorist. Kit had her hands full trying to deal with some stocky Snarf with a long barreled machine gun.
The snarf fired a burst at Kit's feet. She rolled to the side and lunged at the snarf, sword first. She took a slash at the gun's barrel cutting it clean through. The snarf tossed the gun to the side and pulled out a wicked looking combat knife. He swung and it cut deep into Kit's arm. Kit yelped in pain and swung at his tail.
Ben-Gali out did himself this time. The swords sharp blade cut a half a foot of tail off of the snarf's tail. He howled in pain and tackled Kit, knocking her off her feet. He put his knife to her throat and spat, "You're gonna pay for that, bitch!"
"Not if I have anything to say about it." Both Kit and the snarf looked to see where the voice was; it was Tygra. Behind him the Feliner hovered, with main guns ready. The snarf got up and charged Tygra. Tygra smirked. "Now you see me," he said snapping his whip in the air. "And now you don't." The whip landed, coiling around him, turning him invisible. The snarf look around, trying in vain to see Tygra. A loud "crack" was heard and his head went flying back. The snarf regained his barring, blood soaking through his mask, and he went flying back and hit the wall with a loud "thud". Tygra reappeared next to next to Kit.
    "Are you okay?" he asked.
"I'm fine," she said, "But what about Lion-O?"
Lion-O had been dog piled. The guys on him were trying to restrain him, but to no avail. Lion-O kicked them all off of him and stood up. Seeing that they were in trouble, the terrorist bolted. Lion-O grabbed one by the back of his suit and knocked him out.
"Retreat!" the leader yelled. "But you'll rule the day that you messed with the Fists of the Old Order, Thundercats!" At that, the terrorist jumped overboard into their boat and sped off.
Lion-O looked down at the two knocked out thugs. "Maybe they'll have some answers. Kit, go make sure the crew is okay."
"Alright," Kit said, running off towards the bridge. Kit returned several minutes later and Lion-O and Tygra had the thugs tied. "The crew says that they attacked without warning. They also gave no reason to why they did this."
"Lion-O!" Snarf yelled down for the Feliner. "Panthro just called saying that Ben-Gali was attacked and the data banks have been erased. He's also saying something about a fist on the view screen, snarf, snarf."
"Sounds like our friend," said Tygra.
Lion-O nodded, "Yes. And they shall pay for what they did."
